ABOUT CKD Mobilni Jeraby

CKD Mobilni Jeraby a.s. (CKD mobile cranes) specializes in manufacturing truck cranes. The company was founded in 1998 as result of reorganization of CKD Slany a.s. It has taken over forty years tradition and technical know-how of production, sale and service of mobile cranes and more widely it is successor of over 150-years of tradition of mechanical engineering of CKD company and its predecessor companies

The history of CKD, of which it is a successor company, dates back to the mid XIX century, when Czechia was part of the Austro-Hungary.

CKD is an abbreviation of the name "Czech-Moravian, Kolben, Danek", a company which was created in 1927 after the merger of three important companies of the end of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth century, whose gradual merger has created the CKD company:

• First Czech-Moravian machine factory in Prague, Inc. (První Českomoravská továrna na stroje v Praze, a.s.), established in 1870s
• Kolben & Company Inc. (Kolben a spol, a.s.), established in 1896
• Danik & Company Inc. (Danik a spol, a.s.), formerly Breitfeld and Danek, established in 1854

The CKD brand belongs to the most esteemed and oldest brands in Central Europe in the area of mechanical and electrical engineering. The CKD brand is a symbol of high technical level combined with high quality.
